Alterations

We can take care of all your alteration needs. Please watch the slideshow below and you'll see we can easily knock out a fireplace to reveal the original opening and leave it ready for decorating within the day. We can install hearths, surrounds, mantles, oak beams......anything you like.

Below we removed the clients existing surround and insert. We then knocked out the fireplace to reveal the original builders opening. Adjusted the height of the lintel, installed a slate hearth, finished the recess with board capable of withstanding 1100 degrees celcius that can be emulsioned. We then reinstalled the original surround, cleaned the hearth and gave it a coat of linseed oil. The fireplace was then ready for the installation of the stove. All waste was removed from site.

Below we knocked out the fireplace and installed a limestone surround with a black granite hearth. The fireplace and surround was completed in a day, chimney relined with a stainless fleixble liner and stove installed in another day. The work took 2 days from start to finish.
